Getting Started

Quickly master the core features of Transbox with a few simple steps

Welcome to Transbox

Transbox is a translation workbench for translators and localization engineers. It translates on the fly inside any application (selection, screenshot, mini window), and it also manages whole documents or a software project's locale files in one workspace — with translation memory, termbase, machine translation and an AI assistant at hand — then exports files that drop straight back into your codebase.

Download and Install

  1. Visit the download page
  2. Choose the version for your operating system (currently Windows only)
  3. Download and run the installer
  4. Complete the installation by following the setup wizard

After the first launch, two things are worth checking: the interface language and quick-translation target language under Settings → General, and the engines you plan to use under Settings → Translation engines.
